The State of Health in the EU country profiles provide a concise and policy-relevant overview of health and health systems in all EU countries, Iceland and Norway, emphasising the particular characteristics and challenges in each country. They are designed to create a means of mutual learning and voluntary exchanges that support the efforts of countries in their evidence-based policy making. Each country profile provides a short synthesis of: the health status in the country; the determinants of health, focussing on behavioural risk factors; the organisation of the health system; and the effectiveness, accessibility and resilience of the health system.The profiles are the joint work of the OECD and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, in co-operation with the European Commission.

L’objectif est double.
En premier lieu, il s’agit de se faire une idée générale des performances en sécurité et hygiène du travail des entreprises a priori afin d’établir un classement des priorités de visite. Le deuxième chapitre y sera consacré.
En second lieu, un affinement de cette évaluation sur des bases objectives sera possible après une visite sur place afin de fixer éventuellement les délais pour une visite ultérieure.
Le troisième chapitre traitera de cette matière.
La méthode utilisée devra être simple et rapide car les inspecteurs ne peuvent se permettre de consacrer des journées entières à chaque entreprise vu le manque de ressources humaines.
Un quatrième chapitre sera consacré à une proposition de schéma de validation des principes au chapitre précédent.[…]

This paper summarizes the results of the impact evaluation of the Access to Information pilot project on empowerment of citizens in poor municipalities in the Dominican Republic. Among the dimensions of empowerment investigated are civic knowledge, awareness and use of the right to information, perceptions of and trust in public services and institutions, civic participation, and measures of local governance. Data were collected in two rounds: a baseline round at the end of 2010 and a follow-up round in mid-2012. No impact is found on awareness and the use of information under the specific Access to Information rules. However, it is observed that individuals address more general complaints to governments as a result of the Access to Information program regardless of whether these are classified under the ATI law or not. Some positive and statistically significant impacts are found on local government responsiveness, prioritization and decisions about the municipal budget, and trust in and satisfaction with some local government services.
